About Bekahdu

ame “I craft because I must”. I remember reading this years ago and thinking “YES”, thats me!. I have always  crafted in one form or another, it makes me happy, it brings satisfaction and comfort when things are tough and accentuates my happiness when things are great. “I craft because I must”.
I originally studied textile design many years ago, but had gone on to study sculpture and painting so sewing was left by the wayside.
I began sewing again after many, many years when my children arrived. I found it difficult to find the daylight hours needed to paint so, my mother presented me with a sewing machine so that I could have a play. I haven’t looked back. It reignited my love of fabrics and now 5 or 6 years later I am starting my new journey into Art quilting.
I started selling online around 2005 and Bekahu was born a couple of years later.
