I was lucky enough to be interviewed for the Madeit.com.au Designer in The Spotlight spot this week. Go here to see the interview if you want to have a read. I always find it is always such a tricky thing answering questions like that about my self and my work, and even trickier putting photos out there!.
A new journal this week. It is school holidays here so I haven’t had much time for creating for the last couple of weeks!.. I did manage to sneak in this journal, although it was already started so just needed to be finished off. I was experimenting a bit more with concentric circles.
It is available for sale here.
Wow, these are truly amazing!
I made another little bowl last week. This time I stitched some shiny seed beads to the top to add some sparkle. I also made in in a more organised way, instead of random stitching I created small organic circles in three colours, Again, it creates an amazing shadow!
These bowls are only small as I only have a small frame to stitch onto.., just little trinket bowls. I think I may need to invest in a bigger one so that I can do some Bigger bowls!
I love all of these so much I thought I’d share. .thanks TSL
Well, for those of you local to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, I have just started my newest venture. I will be offering beginner sewing classes!. My website is almost finished, thanks to Mr Bekahdu…just need to add some more project PDF’s tomorrow. I’m excited!!
Love this !. I have a raging Harry Potter fan in the house so I think this is definitely on the to do list.
So I have been playing around with clutches for the last few days. I have been asked to make some for Handmade Heaven, an online handmade one stop shop… check it out.
I am not a very clutchy person, having small boys, I tend to like being handsfree..I do like the look of them however so it’s a bit of a bind!. I tend to usually go for more of a wristlet..I have made some clutches before, like these
I thought this time I’d try a few different ones, like these…..
I do always like upcycled denim so I might do a few more of those. I have also just managed to get a couple of swivel clasps so will do some with removable handles.
I’m not sure what I prefer yet, but it sure is fun playing :-)…. (although I have to make some cushion covers for an order first!)
Who would have thought that Bicarb works just as well as dishwasher tabs in the dishwasher!.We discovered it this week when we ran out of tabs and the budget didn’t quite stretch to getting new ones! ..so off to Google for an alternative. We have been using bicarb for the last few days and it is a winner..might never buy tabs again :-). We haven’t got to the vinegar in the rinse aid slot yet as our slot is still full of rinse aid. But when it runs out…in goes the vinegar. I’ll let you know how that goes.
